Grace Church of Christ held its very first service at Tally Ho Boys’ Village at 611-711 High Street Road, Glen Waverley.
06/07/1986
Bilingual (English / Cantonese) service commenced.
01/02/1987
Cantonese service recommenced.
15/03/1987
Sunday services moved to Mt Waverley Secondary College.
20/10/1991
The Chinese Grace Church became independent of the Grace Church of Christ.
25/05/1997
Commencement of English Service.
20/06/1997
Chinese Grace Church was accepted as a recognised Fellowship of the Baptist Union of Victoria.
31/08/1997
It was resolved to change the Church’s name to 主恩浸信會Grace Baptist Community Church at a Special Members’ Meeting.
06/12/1998
It was resolved to amend the Church’s Constitution in preparation for joining the Baptist Union of Victoria at a General Meeting.
19/06/1999
Grace Baptist Church was accepted by the Baptist Union of Victoria as a member church.
04/11/2001
Members approved the Church Building Project with Mt Waverley Secondary College at a General Meeting. Fund Raising Program with a target of $270,000 soon started.
28/01/2003
Fire at Mt Waverley Secondary College.
24/08/2003
Termination of Church Building Project with Mt Waverley Secondary College.
10/12/2003
Special Prayer Meeting was held to seek God’s will and guidance regarding the purchase of church building at 6 Elwood Street, Notting Hill (“Notting Hill premises”).
21/12/2003
Members approved the proposal to purchase the Notting Hill premises at a Special General Meeting.
18/02/2004
Vendor agreed to the sale of Notting Hill premises to Grace Baptist Community Church.
31/05/2004
Last Sunday Service was held at Mt Waverley Secondary College. Church equipment was moved to new premises immediately after this service.
06/06/2004
First Sunday Service – Thanksgiving was held at new premises.
11/07/2004
Church Dedication Worship & First Baptism were held at new premises.
